Carbon Steel
Carbon steel is steel, but not pure steel, as it is more prone to oxidation and rust due to the absence of other alloying elements. The higher the carbon steel content, the greater the hardness, and the higher the strength, which is relatively lower in plasticity. It is usually used on metal parts that require strength, hardness, and wear resistance, such as cutting tools, steel cables, piano wires, springs, and cutting tools. After processing, the parts usually need to be further processed and tempered. The higher the carbon content of steel, the higher its hardness, strength, and wear resistance after heating treatment. Carbon steel is divided into high carbon steel, medium carbon steel, and low carbon steel, each of which is further divided into two types; According to its characteristics, high carbon steel is hard and brittle, while low carbon steel is soft and ductile.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is often divided into martensitic steel, ferritic steel, austenitic steel, austenitic ferrite (duplex) stainless steel, and precipitation hardening stainless steel according to their structural state. Stainless steel is the abbreviation for stainless steel and acid resistant steel. Steel that is resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam, water, or has rust resistance is called stainless steel.
Galvanized/PPGI/PPGL
Color coated roll is a product made from hot-dip galvanized sheet, hot-dip aluminum-zinc sheet, electrogalvanized sheet, etc. as substrates, after surface pre-treatment (chemical degreasing and chemical conversion treatment), one or several layers of organic paint are applied to the surface, and then baked and cured. Color coated rolls are lightweight, aesthetically pleasing, and have good corrosion resistance. They can also be directly processed and are generally classified into gray white, navy blue, and brick red colors. They are mainly used in the advertising industry, construction industry, home appliance industry, electrical appliance industry, furniture industry, and transportation industry.
Alloy
Alloy is a substance with metallic properties synthesized by certain methods from two or more metals and metals or non-metals. Generally obtained by melting into a uniform liquid and solidification. According to the number of constituent elements, it can be divided into binary alloys, ternary alloys, and multicomponent alloys. The structure and properties of the constituent phases in an alloy play a decisive role in its performance. At the same time, changes in the microstructure of the alloy, including the relative number of phases, grain size, shape, and distribution of each phase, also have a significant impact on the performance of the alloy. Therefore, utilizing the combination of various elements to form various alloy phases, and then undergoing appropriate treatment, may meet various performance requirements.
Silicon Steel
Silicon steel, also known as electrical steel, is an iron silicon alloy in which the silicon element has magnetism.
Aluminum
Aluminum is a silver white light metal. It has extensibility. Products are often made into rods, sheets, foils, powders, ribbons, and filaments. A layer of oxide film can be formed in humid air to prevent metal corrosion. Aluminum powder and foil can burn fiercely when heated in the air and emit a dazzling white flame. Easily soluble in dilute sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and potassium hydroxide solutions, but insoluble in water. Relative density 2.70. Melting point 660 ℃. Boiling point 2327 ℃. The development of the three important industries of aviation, construction, and automotive requires the unique properties of aluminum and its alloys in material properties, which greatly facilitates the production and application of this new metal aluminum. The application is extremely extensive.
Copper
Copper is a non-ferrous metal closely related to humans and is widely used in fields such as electrical, light industry, mechanical manufacturing, construction industry, national defense industry, etc. It is second only to aluminum in the consumption of non-ferrous metal materials in China. Copper is a red metal and also a green metal. Say it's green metal. Copper is also a durable metal that can be recycled multiple times without compromising its mechanical properties.
Automotive Steel
Automobile steel is a kind of high strength steel. It usually has higher yield strength and tensile strength than ordinary steel. This enables the automobile steel to withstand greater force and pressure, thus improving the safety performance of the automobile. At the same time, the automobile steel also has good toughness and durability, which can effectively reduce the deformation and damage of the body during collision. There are many kinds of automobile steel. According to their chemical composition and production, automobile steels can be divided into high-strength low-alloy steels, high-strength high alloy steels, stainless steels, galvanized steels and other types. Each kind of automobile steel has different properties and uses. For example, high-strength low-alloy steel is mainly used for structural parts such as body and chassis, while stainless steel is commonly used for parts such as exhaust system and intake system. In addition, automobile steel also has good processability. It can produce parts of various shapes and sizes through various forms, such as cold heading, hot heading, cold rolling, hot rolling, etc.
Tinplated Steel
Tinplate generally refers to tinned steel plate. Tin plated steel plate (commonly known as tinplate) is a steel product with a multilayer protective film on its surface, which is based on a stamping thin steel plate. It has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, non-toxic, tasteless, glossy surface, light weight, high strength (compared with paper, wood and composite materials), easy printing, welding and processing, and strong adaptability to environmental temperature. Therefore, more than 70% of the total output of tinplate is used for food and beverage packaging. In addition, it is also the packaging and raw materials for chemical medicine, electromechanical, hardware, telecommunications and instrumentation industries.
Profile
Profile is an object with certain geometric shape made of iron or steel and materials with certain strength and toughness through rolling, extrusion, casting and other processes. This kind of material has a certain appearance size, a certain shape of cross section, and certain mechanical and physical properties. Profiles can be used alone or further processed into other manufactures, and are often used for building structures, manufacturing and installation. The mechanical engineer can select the specific shape, material, heat treatment status, mechanical properties and other parameters of the profile according to the design requirements, and then divide the profile according to the specific size and shape requirements, and then further process or heat treatment to meet the design accuracy requirements.

Why Steel Prices Do Not Stay Stable and Keep Fluctuating
Steel is an important pillar of infrastructure and the national economy, and its price stability has a profound impact on market participants. Despite that, steel prices can never stay stable and always keep fluctuating across the globe due to a large mixed factors. Such fluctuations inevitably lead to some unwanted influences for both steel suppliers and buyers most of the times. And they all wish the prices could be more predicable to the extent that allows them to make the right business decisions in advance, thus avoiding any economic losses. This blog will shed light on a few of the most significant reasons for unstable steel prices and how to predict market trends more accurately.
I-Beam vs. H-Beam: Comparison and Analysis
In the field of construction and engineering, the choice of steel is crucial, as it is directly related to the stability, load-bearing capacity and construction efficiency of the structure. Among many steel types, H-beam and I-beam are widely used in various projects due to their unique shapes and properties. However, although they are somewhat similar in appearance and can be easily mistaken for one another, there are significant differences in properties, uses, mechanical properties and construction convenience. This blog will delve into the differences between H-beam and I-beam from multiple dimensions.
